APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR

 MINERAL-BASED (INDUSTRIAL) ANTI-SLIP TREATMENT

Preparation:     Floor must be stripped so as to be clear of any previously applied paints, coatings, polishes or carpet adhesives.

Then clean floor thoroughly, preferably using  On Guard Cleaner/Degreaser. It is important that this is done properly; any remaining oil or grease may cause a barrier to the treatment working properly.

Mix quantity of  Treatment Rinse (Neutraliser) for section to be treated.

2.    Test Patch:  Perform a test patch in an inconspicuous area using the minimum  recommended treatment time for the type of surface involved. Check slip resistance; increment treatment time by 5 minute intervals until desired effect is achieved. Proceed ONLY to next stage if totally happy with results.

3.   Sectioning (Tiled Areas):   Tape off  large areas into smaller sections for treatment using duck tape.. Ensure you tape along seams of tiles or blocks to achieve a neat finish. Protect surrounding areas (especially metals) with plastic sheeting so that any accidental splashes do not cause marks.

4.   Application:     Set stopwatch for agreed application time as per test patch. With a mop apply anti-slip treatment to section ensuring product stays within the taped area and no splashes occur. Area must be kept wetted with anti-slip treatment throughout  duration of agreed application time.

5. Neutralising:  When treatment is ready to be neutralised. Using a separate mop use pre-made neutraliser (as in 1), saturate the whole  of the treated section thoroughly, and leave for two minutes . After neutralising use an industrial wet vac to extract all liquid from floor.

6. Rinsing:   It is important that floor is rinsed at least two times with fresh clean water and then extracted with wet vac.
